Like most things today, the kitchen sink is available to buy in a pack which contains everything you need except the tools to fit it. Of course you should only really attempt to fit if you are confident to do so.Lewisham Plumbers can fit a kitchen sink. Before you started you will have isolated the water and removed the taps.

So, to begin you must trial fit the unit just to make sure that the new sink fits the hole that will be left behind once you remove the old one. You can do this by placing the new unit into the hole and inspecting all around the edges, making sure that are no gaps. The new unit should, actually have a small overlap of the old hole, maybe ½ inch or so. Run a bead of sealant around the rim where the new unit is to sit. This will form a seal. A Lewisham Plumber an caulk and fit a new sink unit. Place the new sink into the gap. Make sure that it sits level by constantly measuring around the unit. Keep visually checking for any spaces around the new unit. It is now time to put the clamps on. These clamps are made to hook into the grooves on the new unit drawing it down and securing it. Use enough of the clamps to make sure the sink is absolutely flush and solid. With the new unit fixed in place, check again for its level and gaps. If any sealant has been squeezed out, then wipe away with old rags. Visually check that the sealant is uniform all the way around the new unit. There should be enough to keep it waterproof but not too much to make it look shoddy. Depending on the taps, fit and turn the water back on and check for any problems.
